Your game history stays in this browser

Reef Match saves your last 100 finished rounds in this browser’s local storage. A round is saved when you match every pair or run out of time. Each record includes the result, date and time, time played, moves, pairs matched, and chosen round length.

This history belongs to the browser profile and website address you use on this device. It is not uploaded to the game’s server, shared on a leaderboard, or synced to other devices or browsers. Anyone using the same browser profile can view it.

You control what stays

You can delete your records from the game’s History dialog. Clearing this website’s browser data also removes them. Private browsing does not retain history after the private session ends. If your browser blocks storage, you can still play, but your history cannot be saved across page reloads.

An unfinished round stays in the open page’s memory. Reloading starts a fresh round and does not add the unfinished round to your history. The game code does not set cookies. Your browser may also cache website files to load them faster.

What loads when you visit

The game’s images, scripts, and styles are served by this website. Reef Match does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts.

Website hosting

When you visit the Netlify-hosted version, Netlify receives requests to deliver the website and may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Its handling of that information is described in the Netlify privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

Fonts

The typefaces load from Google Fonts. Your browser sends requests to Google to retrieve them. See the Google Fonts FAQ (opens in a new tab) for more information about that service.

Device access

Reef Match does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or clipboard. It asks the browser to enter full screen only when you choose Full screen.

Optional browser assistants

Compatible browser assistants can use the game’s controls to read visible game information, flip a tile, or start a fresh round. The game’s read response omits the identities of face-down tiles. If you use an assistant, its own privacy practices also apply.

Feedback and external links

The WhatsApp and Instagram links open those services. Reef Match does not automatically send a message or attach your game results. If you choose to contact Shammuspee, the message and any details you share are handled by that service and shared with the recipient.
